Official Statement from Peter Waddell

Following recent speculation after an article in Car Dealer Magazine, I want to set the record straight.

I’m not retiring to Spain — at least not yet.

With my 60th birthday approaching, I remain fully committed to working until 65 and continuing to focus on the future. I’m still energised, motivated, and ready for the work ahead as a proud man, continuing to stand up for what I believe is right.

I remain committed to further investing in my company — a business that was once one of the UK’s leading car supermarkets and a multi-award-winning organisation. Following my departure, which remains subject to ongoing legal process, the business has faced a number of challenges.

During my temporary absence, the company has endured unprecedented reputational damage across platforms such as Facebook, Trustpilot, Indeed, and others. Skilled talent has been lost, and not a single penny of profit has been recorded.

My focus now is on rebuilding, investing, and working alongside experienced executives who believe in restoring the company back on top where it belongs..

I continue to respect the courts and their decisions, but I firmly believe the truth will prevail.

There is plenty to do — and I’m ready.

Thank you to my staff, suppliers and friends for all the support.

Go big or go home.

Peter
