VISTA TWISTERS IN USA
DOVER-based cheerleading club Vista Twisters will compete for gold at the prestigious Cheerleading Worlds in Florida, USA, next weekend.
But the Twisters’ journey to the top had been threatened several times by the lack of a suitable HQ in Dover, until local businessman Peter Waddell stepped in and created The Base in 2019 , their very own home in Hollow Wood Road, Dover in 2021.
Mind, the mental health charity
Mind is dedicated to supporting mental health and handles around 500,000 inquiries every year from people across the UK.
With a network of 125 local Mind the organisations, the charity offers vital services such as counselling, employment mentoring and therapy. Additionally, Mind runs a helpline, offers online resources and fosters peer support communities.
The charity is entirely funded by donations, and Peter has been a long-time sponsor.
Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS)
KSS is an independent charity operating a fleet of emergency air ambulances that provide critical care around the clock.
The skilled paramedics and specialised doctors respond to over 3000 incidents annually across Kent, Surrey and Sussex. They are assisted by 150 volunteers and non-clinical team members who support the organisation’s daily operations.
KSS relies on public donations to continue its invaluable work and Peter has been a sponsor for years.

Vista Twisters
What began life as a small cheerleading team in the southeast of England has blossomed into a major local sports organisation, now representing the UK at the Cheerleading World Championships.
Vista Twisters offers a wide range of programmes, including recreational classes, tumbling and dance activities, private lesson, and team competitions. The charity also runs a Holiday Camp.
Peter's contributions have been essential to the organisation.
